Adgistics appoints Rod Banner as new Adgistics Chairman

Rod has worked in marketing advertising and technology for most of his commercial life. He founded the technology marketing group, Banner Corporation in 1984 and sold it to WPP. It had grown to become the largest Business-to-Business agency in Europe. He is an angel investor, sits on several boards, co-founded - a strategic marketing collective and Forgather, a vibrant events business. In 2014, Rod made it into the TechCity Insider 100 list and the Fresh Business Thinking Power 100. In 2015, he was chosen as one of The Maserati 100 - A list of UK-based entrepreneurs who are giving back to the next generation.

Jim Hubbard, one of Adgistics founders and current Board members, who led the nominations committee process, commented:

“We have conducted a thorough search to identify the most suitable person to become the next Chairman of Adgistics. We were lucky to have had a very strong field of potential candidates. It soon became clear that Rod was the ideal person to take on the role. He has a very successful history of C-Suite and Board roles, a deep understanding of marketing technology and a strong empathy with Adgistics ethos, culture and commitment to providing our clients with the best possible service. We are delighted that he has accepted the role."

He continues “We are enormously grateful to James for the contributions and perspective he brought to the Board during a time of immense change in our market. We look forward to his continuing contribution as a Board member of Adgistics as we build on the considerable progress that has been made.”

Commenting on his appointment, Rod Banner said:

“Since its launch in 1999, Adgistics has helped world leading brands distribute and manage their digital assets. As user-generated and branded content become much more powerful ingredients in the marketing mix, these too require distribution and retention. Adgistics is well placed to deliver innovation and leadership in these exciting new arenas and I’m really delighted to be engaged in that challenge”.

James Waite commented:

‘Adgistics is a remarkable business that we have transformed over the last six years to answer the new challenges faced by our industry. This is the perfect time for the Board to benefit from Rod’s skill and experience as we set out on the next phase of our development, and we look forward to his contribution to the continued growth and success of Adgistics.’
